Charity registration criteria

Currently, in order to apply your charity must have been registered with one of the official bodies below for a minimum of 12 months.

  • The Charity Commission for England & Wales

  • The Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR)

Is my charity's bank compatible?

Wonderful payments are initiated via Open Banking technology, which makes donations easier, more secure and instant.

Speedy Boarding

If your charity meets the criteria above, an authorised member of staff will be able to register on behalf of your charity using the 'Speedy Boarding' process on the Wonderful website.

To ensure payments are kept secure, the Wonderful team carries out` manual due diligence as part of every charity application.


As part of the application process, you will be required to securely upload documentation via your Wonderful account, including a bank statement from your charity's nominated bank account. In many cases, this is all we will need. If we require any additional documentation you will be notified during the application process.
